Drew Cohen - CEO
In January 1999, as President and CEO, Drew Cohen led NeoPlanet, Inc.'s corporate birth with $18 million in venture capital, establishing corporate headquarters in Arizona.
Under Cohen's leadership, NeoPlanet is credited as a forerunner in the enhanced browser and persistent client software category, targeted by partner media and technology leaders such as Lycos, USA Networks, New Line Cinema, NEC, MTV, Universal Pictures, Network Associates, and others.
Prior to joining NeoPlanet, Cohen was Technology Strategist for the Content Group at Intel Corporation, where he helped define the group's technology strategy across a variety of market segments, including portals, online advertising, and Enhanced TV.
Born in Stamford, CT in 1962, Drew Cohen currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. Cohen earned a BS in Computer Science at Brandeis University.
Jim Friskel - CTO
James Friskel, inventor of the NeoPlanet browser software, is NeoPlanet Chief Technology Officer, and heads up the company's research and development.
In the spring of 1997, Friskel began experimenting with specifications published by Microsoft allowing third parties to develop software on top of the Internet Explorer browser "engine."
Born in Kansas in 1959, Jim Friskel lives in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Friskel earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems at Pittsburgh State University.
Warren Adelman - EVP Ops
Warren Adelman joined NeoPlanet when the company was founded in January, 1999. Adelman currently heads up development of corporate alliances, and oversees licensing and distribution partnerships, and rich-media ad sales.
Adelman played a pivotal role in NeoPlanet's initial funding and spin-off from their former parent company, Bigfoot International. On the business development front, he was central in establishing NeoPlanet's partnerships with Lycos, USA Networks, MTV, Universal Pictures, Interscope Records, New Line Cinema, and Network Associates.
