This member of SugarCRM team will be responsible for maintaining the internal IT Production systems for a fast growing company with a global footprint. As the primary technical bridge between end users and our production environment this position is a key player in ensuring a secure, robust and available infrastructure. This person should be energetic, outgoing, bright, and focused on team dynamics and results.
The candidate will work with Redhat Enterprise and Centos services primarily utilizing the LAMP and in a high availability distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
- Define and enforce the standard operating systems configurations (including versions, packages and patch levels), management tools, scripts, and operating processes
- Participate in the hands on management of the production systems, fault resolution, capacity planning and root cause analysis
- Build a world-class systems infrastructure that is constantly evolving and expanding
- Deploy and manage the initial validation stage systems and the full production environment to include new releases, patches and automation
- Establish and test standard systems configurations
- Establish operations policies and procedures for production (with the DBA and Engineering teams)
- Assist in the selection of management software for log management, release distribution and monitoring
- Performance analysis of systems
- Participate in capacity planning
- Root cause determination for faults
- Script and procedure development
- Cloud experience and know-how
- Linux and Windows management and support
Qualifications:
- MS/BS degree in Computing Sciences or equivalent is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Linux systems and applications including PHP, puppet, Apache
- Development experience in scripting and development of systems automation tools
- Server scripting (PHP. Perl, awk etc)
- Systems and infrastructure security
- High availability system design/support
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills. This position will require interaction with end-users with different skill levels and the right candidate should be ok communicating ideas and projects with these individuals
- Management infrastructuretools (Nagios, Cacti, Puppet, LDAP etc)
- Deployment and distribution automation tools (YUM, Puppet, RPM, etc)
- Consumer software/website database design
- Experience managing and deploying google apps
- Experience managing and deploying voip systems, specifically fonality
- Virtual systems build and management utilizing VMWare, Xen or an equivalentworking knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies
