Job Description
Job Summary
Under general supervision and as a member of the Application Development team, within the Information Technology Department, would perform activities including development, monitoring, support of technical issues and maintenance of internal and vendor Web and Salesforce.com applications, reports and interfaces. This would be through analyzing requirements and solutioning for new and revised complex processes. For these processes, develops program specifications, computer programs, and supporting documentation.
Job Description
- Coding, testing and de-bugging websites and web-based applications
- Configure and customizing Content Management System code
- Develop and manage all aspects of the interaction process between a user and web site. It includes assigning cookies, tracking user’s activities, submitting forms and passing the information through etc.
- Create, configure, manage and deploy Salesforce.com changes (objects, layouts, visualforce, Apex, etc)
- Salesforce.com configuration
- Develop sophisticated applications on the Salesforce.com platform
- Monitor and implement changes to the Salesforce.com production environment
- Creating and managing complex Salesforce.com workflow rules, data validation, and system triggers
- Understand requirements, develop plans/recommendations, and interact with key clients and internal leaders
- Manage sandboxes, migrate complex changes from development to test to production
- Write supporting technical requirements and design documentation
- Provide root cause analysis to resolve complex system problems as part of Tier 3 support
Job Skills Summary
- 5+ years of professional IT experience required
- 3+ years of experience in web design and development
- 2+ years of experience Salesforce.com configuration and custom development
- Good understanding of web application architecture and design
- Experience with Content Management System frameworks. ModX (Plus)
- Experience working with marketing tools like Marketo (plus)
- Mastery of PHP, XHTML/CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX and Shell Scripting
- Understanding of the latest web standards and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong experience with developing ANSI SQL
- Experience in environments including MySQL and Linux
- Experience administrating and configuring the Apache web server
- Experience in consuming and programming web services
- Experience with Web Site performance monitoring. Tuning (Plus)
- Experience plus with Web Site capacity forecasting and planning
- Understanding the Salesforce.com application in enough depth customize and configure SFDC objects, page layouts, workflows, document templates, data fields, reports and dashboards
- Proficiency in APEX
- Excellent analytical, technical aptitude and proven ability to solve problems and the ability to engage effectively with business and technical teams
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with full Software Development methodologies. Agile (Plus)
- Must be highly motivated, a quick learner, to work independently or on a team and drive solutions with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work productivity with offshore resources
- BS degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent work experience
