We’re looking for a seasoned, energetic marketing communications professional with a firm understanding of the marketing communications mix including advertising, events management, online marketing, media & analyst relations, partner co-marketing and branding strategy. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across all levels of an organization while fulfilling the challenging but exciting role of being a founding member of a growing team with a big charter. As such, you should be at home managing a variety of projects in parallel, be well organized and execution focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with product marketing and product management teams to sculpt new product messaging and positioning that is compelling for a consumer audience and will achieve maximum impact at launch.
- Planning and tracking project timelines and budgets to ensure on time delivery of all program/launch-related assets
- Ability to manage the work and budgets of external vendors, including web, design, brand and PR agencies
- Manages company presence at industry events
- Ability to be creative and define new tools and practices to be successful
- Manages the ongoing maintenance, design and production of company websites, print collateral, digital media and videos
- Active participation in the creation and launch of the company’s social media strategy
- Monitors, measures and reports on the effectiveness of programs
Experience, Skills and Education Required
- Knowledge of mobile segment preferred – experience from a major mobile device OEM or Carrier a distinct advantage
- Strong communications, project management and operational skills
- Works well under pressure with an ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience developing social media and communications programs that target consumers as well as direct customers
- Best in class events management experience
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Superior interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
- 7-10+ years experience in marketing communications or related field, ideally in consumer-focused mobile or high tech segment
