Techie Senior Analytics Software Engineer

Extole, Inc., the leading provider of social marketing solutions, is looking for a Senior Analytics Software Engineer. Located in San Francisco, Extole is the leading provider of social engagement applications that drive measurable results on and off Facebook for leading brands and agencies. Extole’s multi-channel Engagement Platform helps marketers activate their customer base, engage fans, and convert social engagement into Likes, recommendations, sales, customers, and prospects. We design, deploy and optimize referral-based customer acquisition programs, social recommendation campaigns, and other customer-powered programs—all of which are highly measurable and proactively optimized by a suite of accompanying services.

In this role you will develop sophisticated systems that aggregate data. This will entail designing and scaling ETL processes across multiple data sets from multiple applications and 3rd party data sources, as well as designing and building out infrastructure for non-realtime and realtime reporting. You will also design and build out log analytics reports for measuring application performance, fraud detection, and discover interesting patterns.

Experience Requirements

• ETL experience
• Expertise with SQL
• Experience with multiple BI/Reporting tools
• Experience developing distributed systems, especially data stores
• Database systems and algorithmic development (RDBMS, OLAP, Structured Storage)
• Experience building intensive data driven applications
• Unit testing (JUnit) and documentation (Javadoc)
• Object Oriented Programming (Java, C++) and design (UML, patterns) a plus
• NoSQL systems a plus
• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science
• 7+ years relevant work experience
