We are currently expanding our team by looking to hire an experienced Director of Sales for Major Accounts. This position will report to the VP of Sales and is a full time, exempt role. The successful candidate will be proactive, have a strong work ethic, passion for their work, and will always look for creative solutions to problems. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and pursuing national direct sales activities with high potential major accounts; these include leading commercial real estate owners/managers, large corporate campuses and institutional sectors, engaged at the “C”/executive level.
Responsibilities
Develop an individual strategic account sales plan by which to engage and win target accounts
Execute the strategic account sales plan, aggressively develop, pursue and close sales opportunities; use consultative selling methods, identify customer needs and create aligned and winning proposals to meet those needs
Work with potential customers to educate them on effective energy efficiency strategies, identify specific opportunities and determine objectives for success
Provide timely, accurate, competitive proposals, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
Keep accurate records of all pricings, sales, P.O’s and activity reports submitted
Assist Sales Operations and Project Management to ensure accuracy in preparation of proposals, presentations and project delivery plans
Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly revenue streams
Qualifications and Requirements
10+ years of overall sales experience in the facilities and/or technology sector, with proven experience in engaging and selling to Sustainability Officers and heads of corporate real estate portfolios/facilities
5+ years of experience successfully selling lighting controls, HVAC, energy efficiency, building automation or facilities management products and solutions directly into potential major accounts
Track record of success selling through the corporate hierarchy, with multi- and executive-level engagement
Experience developing and executing corporate sales agreements of $100,000 +
Experience and ability to develop a strategic account sales plan
Ability to prospect and develop new business and sales opportunities for an innovative technology platform
Strong verbal and written presentation skills; ability to drive and close sales; documented ability to meet and exceed targets
Proven leadership, interpersonal, management and organizational skills
Willingness to travel
Bachelor’s Degree required or the equivalent in experience
