Business Development Executive

At New Relic, the Business Development Executive will identify, negotiate and close long-term, complex partner transactions, as well as manage ongoing relationships between the company and key strategic partners. S/he will creatively apply strategies such as resale, integration, bundling, etc, developing partnerships that drive both customer adoption and revenue for New Relic. You’ll have the unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the business success of a start-up that integrates what is new and exciting in software: Cloud, SaaS, and app performance management.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
· Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Organizations
· Identify and Close new partnerships to drive New Relic growth.
· Project Manage partner integrations to completion
· Coordinate the technical and marketing launches of each integrated partnership.
· Score and Report on success metrics for each partner on a regular basis.
Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software industry doing business development, strategic alliances, and/or channel sales.
· Proven experience and demonstrated ability closing opportunities, managing multiple projects and effectively negotiating agreements.
· Experience with Platform as a Service, Cloud, Infrastructure as a Service, or Application Hosting Providers is highly desirable. And/or experience with application performance management.
· Strategic and analytical thinker, able to blend technology vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.
· Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to others concisely and effectively.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic working environment and build excellent rapport with internal teams; strong teamwork skills is a must.
Desirable
· Related BA/BS, Master’s or MBA
