Billing Specialist – Aeris

Looking for an analytical and detail-oriented person with a track record of setting up scalable, automated and repeatable processes in a constantly changing and increasingly complex environment.

In this position you will work across functions and play a key role in integrating Aeris’ customer facing portal and CRM system to support a seamless order fulfillment process as the company expands its global presence and array of product offerings, while anticipating exponential growth in volume.

You will play a key role in ensuring billing accuracy by setting up efficient, effective and highly scalable processes for monitoring customer setup and ensuring data integrity across systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SIM card inventory, work with sales team to compile quarterly sales forecasts and manage periodic restocking based on anticipated lead times, ensure timely order fulfilment and customer invoicing of on an on-going basis
  • Develop and document scalable processes for inventory and order fulfilment tracking, ensuring full integration between inventory and CRM systems, as well as 3rd party payment processors
  • Validation of monthly billing output from billing system; document, monitor and execute current validation processes and initiate changes as the company scales and the volume and complexity of business increases
  • Verify and maintain data integrity between customer contracts and billing/CRM systems setup; periodically audit and update customer standing data
  • Go to person for customers and salespeople with questions regarding invoices. Working closely with the sales team you will develop tools that enhance customers’ understanding of their bills and the value added of the company’s service offerings
  • Monitor outstanding customer balances and manage collections process

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a large transaction volume setting, e.g. Google/Doubleclick
  • Familiarity with processes in a self-service web front such as Amazon or similar
  • Experience with of good understanding of GSM technology is a plus
  • Process oriented – demonstrated ability to design and document processes that work efficiently at scale
  • Strong oral and written communication skills – you will be a key liaison between multiple parties across functions
  • Willingness to learn, assume new responsibilities and grow within the company
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and experience working with large data sets is a big plus
  • Unrelenting attention to detail is key in an environment where pricing errors of less than a cent or an omitted checkbox can lead to tens of thousands of dollars in lost revenue
  • Action oriented – identifying an issue is only the first step towards its resolution
  • Proven ability to grasp the big picture and identify interconnections and dependencies in a complex system with multiple parties involved in data entry and processing
  • Proactive and knows when to escalate
  • Experience working in a fast growing environment, scaling a business
