Job description:

Ubicom is looking for a product marketing manager that can drive the outbound and inbound marketing efforts for the Ubicom multimedia line of products and solutions. The objective is to be the marketing champion to grow the multimedia business significantly in close partnership with all internal stakeholders. This includes:

Outbound Marketing

  • Develop market strategies through market assessment, assessment of required solutions and formulation of attack strategies.
  • Execute on business development towards design wins, putting the right partnerships in place and engaging with strategic customers.
  • Define and implement launch plan and rollout strategy for Ubicom media solutions.
  • Drive all required outbound activities and deliverables like sales/FAE training, required collateral, marketing materials, and opportunity management with sales.
  • Define product mix and pricing strategy for Ubicom media products.

Inbound Marketing

  • Identify market opportunities and requirements for the Ubicom offering
  • Define appropriate solutions in the form of roadmaps, MRDs and development priorities
  • Evaluate and manage competitive threats and appropriate response strategies for target markets

This person will work with the factory applications engineering, sales, and engineering teams. The position will report to the VP of Marketing.

Qualities and skills needed:

  • Organized and able to manage priorities effectively.
  • Works well with matrix organization.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Ability to see the big picture; attitude of complete ownership for product family.
  • Technical depth, understanding of semiconductor products and related solutions.
  • Customer focus - external and internal customers.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation.
  • Excellent skills in working cross-functionally - negotiation, building consensus.

Job Requirements:

  • 5 -8 years industry experience with a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in customer facing roles such as marketing or field roles.
  • Additional technical or business experience a plus.
  • Able to travel up to 25%, domestically or internationally as needed.
  • Education & experience in a technical discipline (BSEE, BSME, BSCS or higher), or business degree.
