Job duties:

• Providing technical expertise in definition of new products and system solutions
• Design / implement reference systems (Hardware, Embedded software)
• Train Ubicom FAEs, and sales representatives in new products, applications and customer-specific knowledge
• Support Designers / FAEs with challenging technical problems in custom designs (on-site if required)
• Write application notes, datasheets, manuals and related product support documents
• Meet customers (internal & external) and participate in effective technical discussions with them
• Evaluate / analyze and report on technology, standards, partner material
• Propose solutions to customers and marketing

Experience Required:

• BS or MS degree in EE, CE, CS, or related field
• 3-6 years experience developing embedded products and working closely with customers
• Have a strong understanding of embedded systems and software design
  • TCP/IP network programming
  • Linux or VxWorks
  • Proficient in C for embedded environments
  • Read and verify hardware schematics
  • Board level (PCB) design experience
  • Experience with system integration and board-level debug/bring-up
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Willing to travel up to10% internationally or domestic as needed
