The Vice President of Products will be the unifying force behind TokBox's product strategy, combining their own curiosity and imagination with feedback from our team and our community and objective analysis of data to set the strategic vision and lead the execution on new features and products. This is a critical role within the company, and our expectations are accordingly high.

The Vice President of Products will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, define the product vision, and work closely with our development team to continue to deliver a remarkable product. As a member of our senior management team, the VP, Products will work with their peers to help build TokBox into a successful and profitable company.

The Vice President of Products is expected to:

• Create, manage and lead the overall product management process at TokBox
• Create, conceptualize, communicate and sell a product vision to the team, executives and the board
• Develop compelling product offerings, feature sets and monetization strategies
• Gather and analyze feedback from users, marketing, development and the product team
• Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features
• Motivate and engage product and engineering teams (including creative and design personnel) on a daily basis
• Grow and develop the product team's individual and collective strengths by giving constructive, proactive critique of work
• Communicate clearly, honestly, and in a straightforward manner
• Be creative, engaged and charismatic

In addition, the successful candidate's track record will demonstrate that they:

• Enjoy being hands-on and getting down into the details
• Balance vision and instinct with data-driven decision-making
• Have a strong UX sensibility
• Give and receive criticism professionally and constructively
• Balance disparate needs of the various team members, make difficult decisions, and communicate effectively to all involved
• Implement "just enough process" to make the product development process repeatable without bogging it down
• Like to have fun while working hard

Desired experience and expertise:

• Passion for web-based software products.
• Experience as a Product leader for an industry-changing web software product.
• Experience with agile development processes and monthly or weekly product release cycles.
• Experience interacting with startup boards and VC investors
• Experience with internet communications or internet media industry
• "Roll-up-your-sleeves" entrepreneurial, start-up attitude.
• Natural ability to relate to customers, partners and prospects
• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
• Remarkable references
