The Role

Roku is looking for a Director of Product Management. The successful candidate will have a track-record of creating commercially successful consumer products and/or services. Experience in the following areas will be highly valued:

Billing systems Open platforms & SDKs Consumer electronics/devices

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Driving the roadmap process and documenting the outcome Creating and maintaining requirements documents (PRDs & UI Specs) Managing quantitative and qualitative market research Generating key feature ideas Partnering with engineering to drive required features, understand trade-offs, etc. Working closely with design resources on ID, UI and overall UX issues Interacting regularly with QA team to ensure a quality product Developing packaging, documentation, and other collateral

The role will have a peer, but initially no direct reports.

The Requirements Bachelor's Degree required, MBA is preferred 5 – 7 years of technology product management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills (examples will be requested) Superior analytical and problem solving skills A proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects Very detailed and pride yourself for the quality of your work A thinker but also a doer – not afraid to roll up your sleeves
