Seeking motivated self-starter network engineer to support existing network architecture and to work closely with the development team to architect the next generation of our service.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day administration of production network infrastructure.
• Development and maintenance of  network growth and planning.
• Monitoring, alerting, and scripts to simplify on-call.
• Participate in on-call support of a 24x7 service.
• Re-configuration of existing network gear to fit our new system architecture model.

Requirements:

• Proven network administration experience in a production environment of 200+ servers.
• Knowledgeable in JunOS, IOS, and Foundry.
• Understands OSPF, BGP, VRRP and more importantly when to use which.
• 5+ years working in a 24x7 production environment.
• Scripting languages: Perl, Ruby, Python, or Bash/csh.
• Understanding of best practices in network tuning for performance and reliability.
• Knowledgeable in LINUX and other UNIX operating systems.
• Network monitoring, Nagios, Cacti.
