Staff Accountant - Oakland, CA

Pandora Media is looking for a Staff Accountant to execute the day-to-day accounting functions for our fast-paced and dynamic organization.

Reporting to our Corporate Controller, you will manage A/P, A/R, client billing, payroll and other related areas.

Responsibilities:

Payroll

  • Accurate and timely processing of payroll
  • Administration of all payroll deductions including benefits
  • Process monthly payroll journal entry
  • Reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Reconcile monthly employee insurance bills
  • Administer New Hire and Terminated employee insurance, 401K, Flexible Spending, COBRA

 

 

Accounts Receivable

  • Process Billing requests from Sales Operations
  • Review and establish customer line of credit using Dun & Bradstreet
  • Collect customer payments on or before its due date
  • Provide assistance on customer inquiries either directly from the customer or from Sales Operations

 

 

Accounts Payable

  • Review and process T&E expense reports for compliance with Company policy

 


Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of work experience in an Advertising environment is a MUST
  • BA degree with a Major or Minor in Accounting
  • Ability to collect a minimum of $4M per quarter with less than 5% under > 90days (supporting documents required)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • QuickBooks and Paychex (TLO, Preview and Eservices) experience is a MUST
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels
  • 2+ years public accounting experience and CPA preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
